Are you a sugar addict? If the answer is yes, you are not alone!
Food processors add over 140 pounds of sugar to our diet each year, and another 18% of our calories come from white flour (which is a lot like sugar in our body). With people basically eating their weight in sugar and flour each year, it is not surprising that we have become a planet of sugar addicts. Like many other addictions, it may even leave you feeling a bit better for a few hours — only to wreak havoc on your body later.
Simply telling people to stop sugar does not usually work. What’s needed is to understand the cause, or causes, of your sugar addiction, and to treat those. This not only leaves people feeling much better, but also cuts the sugar cravings a lot.
Avoid all sugar!
Why is Sugar Addictive?
When used in the way that humans ate sugar for thousands of years, which basically was simply eating whatever sugar was found naturally in food, sugar was not a problem. It was a treat. But now over one third of our calories come from sugar and white flour added in food processing. And our bodies simply were not designed to handle this massive load.
Many people have already noticed that although sugar gives an initial high, one crashes several hours later and this leaves the person wanting more. In fact, sugar acts as an energy loan shark, taking away more energy than it gives.
Eventually, the ‘credit line’ runs out and you find yourself exhausted, anxious and moody.
The benefits of giving up sugar altogether
Besides the obvious long term benefits of markedly lowering the risk of diabetes, hypertension, stroke and heart attacks — the major killers of modern life — cutting sugar intake will help many other conditions. These include:
- Chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia
- Anxiety and depression
- Pain of many kinds
- Decreased immune function (a 12 ounce can of soda can drop immune function by 30% for three hours!)
- Chronic sinusitis
- Irritable bowel syndrome and spastic colon
- Autoimmune disease
- Cancer
- Metabolic syndrome with high cholesterol and hypertension
- Heart disease
- Hormonal problems
- Schizophrenia
- Candida and yeast infections
- ADHD
It also helps boosts metabolism so that people can finally lose weight as well!
The Value of Sugar Avoidance
Sugar addiction is the canary in the coal mine. It usually points to a larger problem that is also dragging you down.
No one has anything against sugar. It’s simply that is not good for you and your health.
Give it a try and live without this white crystal to enjoy a better life.

And you will see the difference, promise!
