Clean building for chemically intolerant

A particularly healthy building is to be constructed in Zurich by 2013.

It will give people who suffer from chemical intolerance, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity or MCS, a safe place to live.

A careful selection of materials and workmanship will be used in the project to try and minimize the amount of chemicals these people are exposed to in their own homes.

It will be equipped with special locks to clean inhabitants hands on the way in.

The project is costing CHF 5.8 million.

There are an estimated 5,000 MCS patients in Switzerland.
